Scope

This standard specifies the safety requirements for industrial vehicles defined in GB/T 6104.1 during their use, operation, and maintenance, as well as during transportation, pulling, assembly, and storage.
This standard applies to the following vehicle types:
a) Counterbalanced forklifts;
b) Front-moving forklifts (with extendable masts or forks);
c) Reach forklifts;
d) Pallet stackers;
e) Platform stackers;
f) Double-decker stackers;
g) Side-moving forklifts (single-sided);
h) Side-stacking forklifts (double-sided and three-way);
i) Order pickers;
j) Bi-directional and multi-directional forklifts;
k) Counterbalanced container stackers;
l) Articulated counterbalanced forklifts;
m) Telescopic forklifts;
n) Pallet transporters;
o) Tractors with a traction force of no more than 20,000 N;
q) Cargo and personnel carriers;
r) Other pedestrian-operated industrial vehicles and industrial vehicles powered by batteries, diesel, gasoline, or liquefied petroleum gas.
