Scope

This standard specifies the functions, technical requirements, and manufacturing requirements for locking mandrels and positioning joints used in oil well production (water injection) tubing columns in the oil and gas industry to install flow control or other tools. This standard applies to the interface connection with flow control or other tools, but not to the connection with oil tubing.
