Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the requirements for the physical layer and media access control layer protocols of wireless communication technology in a low-frequency magnetic field environment (about 300 KHz).
This document is applicable to the design and application of the physical layer and media access control layer in magnetic field networks.
The physical layer protocols specified in this document are suitable for:
—— Reliable communication in low-frequency magnetic field areas and harsh environments,
—— Convenient and robust modulation with low implementation costs and fault-tolerant performance,
—— Variable coding and bandwidth for link adaptation.
The media access control layer protocols specified in this document are suitable for:
—— Simple and efficient low-power network topologies,
—— Variable superframe structures for compact and efficient data transmission,
—— Dynamic address allocation and effective address management for small data packets.
This document supports data transmission at several kbit/s in short-range wireless networks. This communication method can be applied in the following fields:
—— Environmental protection industries using wireless underground or underwater sensors to monitor water and soil pollution,
—— Construction industries using wireless internal corrosion sensors to monitor the integrity of buildings and bridges,
—— Consumer electronics industries monitoring food storage in humid and confined environments and transmitting the sensing data externally,
—— Agriculture using wireless underground sensors to monitor soil moisture and mineral content,
—— Transportation industries using wireless underground sensors to monitor road conditions and traffic information.
