Scope
This document describes the method for determining the content of oxidized compounds in alcohol-ether-based aromatic hydrocarbons using gas chromatographs.
The components measured in this document include: diethyl ether, acetaldehyde, propionaldehyde, isobutylaldehyde, butylaldehyde, pentanal, isopropanol, n-propanol, isobutanol, tert-butanol, n-butanol, acetone, and butanone. The measurement range for various oxidized compounds is 1 mg/kg to 200 mg/kg. The measurement of components such as dimethyl ether, methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), ethyl tert-butyl ether (ETBE), diisopropyl ether (DIPE), tert-amyl methyl ether (TAME), propyl ether, methanol, ethanol, and allyl alcohol can be carried out as a reference.
This document is applicable to the determination of oxidized compounds in alcohol-ether-based aromatic hydrocarbon products.
