Scope

This part of GB/T 6346 is applicable to surface-mounted conductive polymer solid electrolyte tantalum fixed capacitors (hereinafter referred to as capacitors).
Surface-mounted MnO2 solid electrolyte tantalum fixed capacitors are not included in this part, but are covered by IEC 60384-3.
These types of capacitors are mainly used for direct installation on hybrid circuit boards or printed circuit boards.
Capacitors for special-purpose applications may require additional technical specifications.
