Scope

This document provides an analysis of the four ignition modes of electrical fires in low-voltage switchgear and control equipment (referred to as "equipment") and corresponding risk reduction measures. This document is applicable to the fire risk analysis of low-voltage switchgear and control equipment (referred to as "equipment") in the IEC 60947 series of standards. The following content applies: -- Only considering the situation where the fire source is inside the equipment (especially in the case of faults and misuse); -- Only considering the situation where the equipment is installed in a normal environment, not considering dangerous environments, such as the presence of flammable materials; -- Only considering the selection, installation, and use of products in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and installation procedures. In addition, this document does not consider the following situations: -- The fault situations mentioned in IEC TR 61641; -- The risks caused by smoke emissions; -- Double faults, such as potential combinations of multiple phenomena.
