Scope
This standard:
a) specifies the use of wires with a maximum current carrying capacity of 500 mA to provide remote power supply through balanced cabling that complies with ISO/IEC 11801, enabling the application of safe extra-low voltage (SELV) and limited power supply (LPS), and supporting the remote power supply of terminal devices through balanced cabling;
b) specifies the transmission and electrical parameters that support balanced cabling for remote power supply;
c) specifies multiple installation scenarios and the impact of these scenarios on the current carrying capacity of balanced cabling for remote power supply;
d) specifies the design and configuration of cabling defined in ISO/IEC 11801-1.
