Scope

This standard applies to solid relays. Solid relays are a special type of electrical relay that uses a single step function to control electrical circuits, switching their output states from off to on, and vice versa. The solid relays covered by this standard have AC outputs, with a maximum current of 160 A and a rated voltage of no more than 750 V.
Note: Solid relays with DC output circuits are currently under consideration.
The solid relays covered by this standard are intended to be assembled and used in other products or equipment. Therefore, solid relays are considered as components that can be used independently. This standard specifies the basic safety and functional requirements for solid relays.
