Scope

This standard specifies the general metrological characteristics, calibration methods, and requirements for instrumentation used in the calibration of tunable laser sources for communication (hereinafter referred to as tunable sources). It is applicable to the initial calibration, subsequent calibration, and in-service inspection of tunable sources. The calibration of other similar tunable sources can be carried out in accordance with this standard. The requirements for metrological characteristics in the type evaluation of tunable sources can also be implemented in accordance with this standard.
