Scope

This regulation stipulates the technical requirements and maintenance methods for the daily maintenance of highway bridge expansion devices, the design of replacement plans for highway bridge expansion devices, the technical conditions, requirements, and methods for replacement, as well as the quality acceptance after replacement. This regulation applies to special-shaped steel single-seal expansion devices, modular expansion devices, comb-plate expansion devices, and wave-shaped expansion devices for highway bridges that meet the industry product standards of the Ministry of Transport. The maintenance and replacement of expansion devices for other bridges can also be carried out in accordance with this regulation.
