Scope
This standard specifies the quarantine identification method for Tomato mosaic virus. This standard is applicable to the detection and identification of Tomato mosaic virus in host plants and untreated seeds. To reduce the infection rate of seeds, seeds treated by physical (such as heat treatment) or chemical methods (such as acid treatment, sodium hypochlorite, trisodium phosphate, etc.), or seeds treated with agricultural chemicals or biological agents, should be subjected to analysis, sampling, or comparative experiments to prove that the residual inhibitors will not affect the experiment when using this standard.
