GB/T 21548-2008 Methods of measurement of the high speed semiconductor lasers directly modulated for optical fiber communication systems
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the terms, definitions, classification, and measurement methods of the main technical parameters of direct intensity modulation semiconductor lasers (mainly multi-quantum well distributed feedback lasers) and their components used in high-speed (622 Mbit/s to 10 Gbit/s) Pulse Code Fiber Optic Communication Systems. In addition, considering the completeness of laser measurement methods and related testing and inspection methods, as an appendix, the measurement methods of several commonly used parameters of lasers in simulation systems, as well as reliability testing methods and product detection methods (or rules) are also specified. This standard applies to the measurement of the photoelectric characteristics of direct intensity modulation semiconductor lasers and their components used in high-speed Pulse Code Fiber Optic Communication Systems such as SDH, WDM, and Ethernet; the measurement or detection of the photoelectric characteristics of lasers and their components in simulation optical communication systems and other optical systems can also be used as a reference.
