Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for the propagation of pistachio seedlings, high-yield cultivation, pest and disease control, and fruit harvesting. This standard applies to areas in southern Xinjiang that are suitable for pistachio cultivation, as well as to other temperate regions where pistachios can be grown under similar soil conditions to those in the pistachio's native habitat. These regions typically feature warm and sunny springs, dry summers and autumns, and winter temperatures no lower than -20°C.
