本文件适用于轮椅车上提供体位支撑作用的座椅部分。
本文件规定了：
a）整体几何坐标系统，此坐标系能测量并记录乘坐者在轮椅车上的坐姿信息；
b）用于描述乘坐者坐姿和身体测量的术语和定义；
c）用于描述座位支撑面的尺寸、位置和方向（这些要素组合在一起形成人体支撑系统）的术语和定义。
本文件对乘坐者坐姿的测量方法不作具体规定，也未对动态生理运动（如身体屈伸）作任何定义。
本文件也适用于轮椅车以外的座椅支撑系统装置。
