Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, transportation, and storage of commercial organic fertilizers for tobacco. This standard applies to commercial organic fertilizers for tobacco that are produced and sold by processing mainly livestock and poultry manure, plant residues (except those from Solanaceae and Cucurbitaceae crops), and other raw materials after fermentation and composting. This standard does not apply to green manure, farmyard manure, and other organic manure that farmers collect and make on their own.
