This document provides general rules for representing the state of objects using graphical symbols standardized in documents such as IEC 60617, ISO 14617 (all parts), and IEC 60417.
The purpose of this document is:
• To ensure the consistency of the main content of standardized documents;
• To avoid duplication of effort and conflicting interpretations.
This document provides examples of the common operational states of objects that need to be represented using standardized graphical symbols and defines general rules for their application. This document recommends different types of presentation tools to represent different operational states.
