Basic Information
Scope
Main technical contents: 4. Site selection and land preparation 4.1 Site selection: Select areas with an average daily temperature of ≥5°C and an active heat sum of ≥1800°C, with flat terrain, deep cultivated layers, and loose soil. Preferably, sandy loam or loam soils with relatively concentrated plots and convenient mechanical operations. Avoid continuous or successive cropping. Wheat or rice straw residue is generally suitable as a starter crop, and the rotation period should be at least 3 years. 4.2 Land preparation and fertilization: - Till the soil to a depth of 25–30 cm and level it with a rake. Apply 1,000–2,000 kg/667 of composted farmyard manure during deep tillage. Organic fertilizer application should comply with the requirements of NY/T 525 and NY/T 1868. 5 Variety selection and processing 5.1 Variety selection: Select nationally or regionally approved or registered varieties, and ensure that the seed quality meets the requirements of GB 4407.2. 5.2 Seed treatment: Select appropriate seed coating agents based on local pests and diseases, and sun-dry the seeds for 2–3 days before sowing. 6 Sowing 6.1 Sowing time: Sow when the temperature of the 5 cm soil layer stabilizes above 8°C. The sowing period is late May to early June. 6.2 Sowing depth: Adjust the sowing depth to 3.5–5 cm based on soil moisture conditions. 6.3 Sowing methods: Mechanical sowing, manual sowing, or water-film sand-covering sowing (suitable for saline-alkali soils). Row spacing: 80–100 cm; spacing between rows: 40–50 cm; and plant spacing determined by planting density. 6.4 Sowing density: For varieties with a stem height of ≥2.0 m, the sowing density is 1,600–2,000 plants/667; for varieties with a stem height of <2.0 m, the sowing density is 2,000–2,200 plants/667. 6.5 Seed fertilization: Apply 15–20 kg/667 of diammonium phosphate, 5–10 kg/667 of urea, and 10–15 kg/667 of potassium chloride. Fertilizer application should comply with NY/T 496. 7 Field ma
