Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and packaging, marking, transportation, storage, quality certificates, and purchase orders (or contracts) for low-iron zinc ingots.
This standard applies to zinc ingots with a main grade of not less than 99.997% produced by distillation using zinc concentrates and zinc-containing materials as raw materials. They are used in the high-end products of the hot-dip galvanizing industry and the production of die-casting products, and also serve as the raw materials for mercury-free zinc powder used in the dry battery industry.
