Scope
This standard specifies the classification, marking, order content, dimensions, shape, and allowable deviations of zinc-10% aluminum-rare earth alloy coated steel wires used in steel-core aluminum strands; as well as technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates. This standard applies to zinc-10% aluminum-rare earth alloy coated steel wires (hereinafter referred to as "steel wires") with a nominal diameter ranging from 1.25mm to 5.50mm, which are used in overhead strand structures and/or for reinforcement purposes.
