Scope

This document specifies additional requirements for users when using non-rotating and rotating telescopic forklifts that can freely swing loads. This document is used in conjunction with ISO 11525-1 or ISO 11525-2. When the provisions of this document are inconsistent with those specified in ISO 11525-1 or ISO 11525-2, the provisions of this document take precedence over those of ISO 11525-1 or ISO 11525-2. This document is intended to achieve the following objectives: a) prevent personal injury, property damage, and accidents; b) establish guidelines for inspection, maintenance, operation, and training. Note: More stringent national or local requirements may be applicable. ISO 11525-1 specifies general requirements for users using non-rotating telescopic forklifts. ISO 11525-2 specifies general requirements for users using rotating telescopic forklifts. This document does not apply to flexible medium-sized bulk containers specified in ISO 21898.
