Scope

This standard specifies the definitions of the physical layer, data link layer, and application layer of the communication based on the Controller Area Network (CAN) between the external charger of electric vehicles (hereinafter referred to as the charger) and the battery management system (Battery Management System, hereinafter referred to as BMS). This standard applies to the communication protocol between the external charger of electric vehicles using conductive charging and the BMS (or other vehicle control units with charging control functions).
