Scope

This standard specifies the test procedures and certification criteria for the rollover protection structure (ROPS) of riding-type grassland maintenance equipment with a machine weight not exceeding 3,000 kg.
This standard does not apply to standing or two-wheeled single-seat machinery, nor to self-propelled machinery and tractors used in agriculture, forestry, or construction.
Note: Standards for specific products, such as ISO 5395, list whether a particular type of machinery is equipped with an ROPS and other information related to the ROPS, such as the seat belt anchorage points and seat belts.
