Scope

This document specifies the acceptance criteria for ultrasonic time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD) testing of fully penetrated welds in ferritic steels with a thickness range of 6 mm to 300 mm. The acceptance criteria correspond directly to the quality grades defined in ISO 5817.
The acceptance criteria specified in this document apply to TOFD indications classified using the TOFD diffraction time-of-flight technique as defined in ISO 10863.
