Scope

This document specifies a rapid method for determining the nitrification potential and nitrification inhibition effect of soil.
This document is applicable to the determination of the nitrification potential and nitrification inhibition effect of soil containing nitrifying microbial populations. It can be used for rapid detection of soil quality and pollutant quality, and is also suitable for detecting the effects of farming methods, chemical substances (except volatile substances, i.e., Henry's constant >1), biosolid extracts, and soil pollutants on soil nitrification.
