Scope

This document provides the qualification and certification process for earthmoving machinery as defined in ISO 6165, including the characteristics of the standards used for machine qualification, the testing process to prove compliance with the standards, and the third-party certification process.
The global goal of the earthmoving machinery industry is to accept and use supplier's declarations of conformity (SDoC) in accordance with the provisions of ISO/IEC 17050. This document includes provisions for third-party certification in countries or regions that do not accept supplier's declarations of conformity.
