Scope
This standard describes the factors that may affect the composition of pure gases or uniform mixtures used for calibration. This standard is only applicable to pure gases or mixtures within their validity period. It provides guidelines for the handling and use of calibration gases from the following aspects:
—— Storage of calibration gas cylinders;
—— Extracting calibration gases from gas cylinders;
—— Transporting calibration gases from gas cylinders to calibration points.
This standard also outlines methods for evaluating the stability of calibration gases, taking into account the uncertainty of the gas composition given in the certificate and the measurement uncertainty of the user.
