Remove weeds. 6.2 Strong Seedling and Early Planting - Plant potatoes from mid-to-late May to early June. - Select seedlings with thick vines, short internodes, well-developed root primordia on nodes, no white roots, even top leaves, thick leaves, and moderate size. - Plant 3,000–3,500 seedlings per 667 m2 in bare fields and 2,000–2,500 seedlings per 667 m2 in intercropping fields. 6.3 Field Management 6.3.1 Seedling Check and Supplementation: - Complete within two weeks after planting. Select strong seedlings, water thoroughly, and fertilize after survival. 6.3.2 Weeding, Hoeing, and Soil Enhancement: - Conduct 2–3 times between planting and ridge closure. 6.3.3 Irrigation and Drainage: - Water 2–3 times after planting to promote root growth and survival. - During "Fuban Drought", irrigate promptly with shallow, frequent watering. - In the late growing season, avoid excessive rainfall to prevent soil flooding and root rot. 6.3.4 Vine Mana
