Scope

This standard specifies the liquid chromatography and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry methods for the determination of acrylamide in cosmetics.
This standard is applicable to the determination of acrylamide in skin care cosmetics such as creams, emulsions, and toners.
The detection limit of acrylamide by high-performance liquid chromatography-diode array detector is 30 μg/kg, and the quantification limit is 90 μg/kg; the detection limit of acrylamide by high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry is 5 μg/kg, and the quantification limit is 15 μg/kg.
