Scope
This standard specifies the liquid chromatography method for the determination of Sudan Red I, II, III, and IV in cosmetics.
This standard is applicable to the determination of Sudan Red I, II, III, and IV in cosmetic products such as lipsticks, lip glosses, powders, powder compacts, and nail polishes. The detection limit for all of them is 50 μg/kg, and the quantification limit is 150 μg/kg.
