Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements and testing methods for aggregated remote equipment based on EPON/GPON, including system models, device architectures, interface requirements, functional requirements, performance requirements, DCN requirements, operation and management maintenance requirements, and corresponding testing methods. This standard applies to aggregated remote equipment used in EPON systems with a downlink rate of 1000 Mbit/s and an uplink rate of 1000 Mbit/s, as well as GPON systems with a downlink rate of 2488.32 Mbit/s and an uplink rate of 1244.16 Mbit/s, in the public telecommunications network environment. It does not apply to EPON/GPON systems with other rate levels. Private telecommunications networks can also refer to and use it for reference.
