Main technical content: This standard is drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1 and GB/T 18765-2015 "Requirements for the Application of Geographical Indication Product Standards" and "Requirements for the Application of Geographical Indication Product Standards" to protect the mountain ginseng of Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County (referred to as wild mountain ginseng in national standards or forest-grown ginseng, or forest-grown ginseng in the 2015 edition of the Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China). This regulation is proposed by the Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County Ginseng Association. This regulation is under the jurisdiction of the Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County Agricultural and Rural Affairs Bureau. The units responsible for this regulation include the Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County Ginseng Association, the Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County Food and Drug Inspection and Testing Center, and the Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County Agricultural and Rural Development Service Center. The main drafters of this standard are Yu Shaocheng, Ji Hongli, Ren Fushan, Huang Chunying, Dong Xiqing, Li Shipin, Zhang Xuefeng, and Xing Lipeng. The protection scope of the geographical indication product "Kuandian Mountain Ginseng" is limited to the geographical indication products approved and registered by the National Administration for Market Regulation, namely Kuandian Mountain Ginseng, which refers to the current administrative area of Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County in Dandong City, Liaoning Province, with a geographical location of 40°13′~41°09′ north latitude and 124°21′~125°43′ east longitude. It has a natural shape, with a yellow skin color and a slight luster. The skin is firm, and the rhizomes are arranged neatly and orderly. The shape gradually decreases, with slender rhizomes and a rhizome length of ≥3.5 cm. There are 1 to 2 adventitious roots or none.
