Scope
This standard specifies the qualitative analysis of layered crystalline sodium disilicate, a detergent additive, by X-ray diffractometry, as well as the testing methods for its whiteness, pH value, calcium exchange capacity, magnesium exchange capacity, weight loss by ignition, moisture content, ferric oxide, sodium oxide, silica, calcium oxide, magnesium oxide, and other indicators. This standard is applicable to the determination of indicators for layered crystalline sodium disilicate products used in detergents, and it is also applicable to the determination of some indicators for other types of silicate products used in detergents.
