Scope

This standard specifies the general requirements for computer security protection of nuclear power plant instrumentation and control (I&C) systems based on computers and/or HDL programmable devices, including the formulation, management, and implementation requirements of the security protection plan. This standard applies to all stages of the life cycle of nuclear power plant instrumentation and control systems (including design, development, engineering implementation, operation, and maintenance), and can also be used for computer security protection of non-safety systems in nuclear power plant instrumentation and control systems.
