Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for pre-harvest preparation, harvesting operations, and initial processing of palm vines, which are major commodities.
This standard applies to the harvesting of Daemonorops jenkinsiana, Calamus simplicifolius, and C. tetradactylus. Other palm vines (see Appendix A) shall be implemented in accordance with this standard.
