Scope

This standard specifies the styles and specifications, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and requirements for marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of safety marking clothing for road workers (hereinafter referred to as marking clothing).
This standard applies to marking clothing that should be worn by personnel engaged in maintenance, construction, road administration, sanitation, and other operations on roads. Other workers who need to wear marking clothing may refer to and implement this standard accordingly.
