Scope
This standard applies to all single-pole or multi-pole high-voltage AC automatic reclosers with a rated voltage of 12 kV to 40.5 kV and a frequency of 50 Hz, installed on poles or in dry chambers.
Note: A dry chamber refers to a ventilated, enclosed area that will not be flooded by water.
To simplify this standard as much as possible, the term "recloser" is used instead of "high voltage AC automatic recloser".
