Scope

Main Technical Content: 3.1 Selenium-Enriched Navel Oranges Produced using selenium-rich soil resources or biological resources from Jiahe County, these oranges contain trace elements of selenium. The selenium is naturally enriched during the growth process or enhanced through selenium bio-nutrition techniques, rather than being added after harvest. The total selenium content in the edible parts (calculated by fresh weight) reaches 1.5μg/100g to 4.5μg/100g (the edible portion of navel oranges contains 85% to 90% water, and the dry weight equivalent is 15μg/100g to 40μg/100g), with organic selenium accounting for at least 80% of the total selenium content. 3.2 Selenium-Enriched Soil The soil must contain rich natural selenium, with a selenium content of no less than 0.4mg/kg and a concentration of harmful heavy metals below the screening values for soil pollution risk in agricultural land. 3.3 Selenium-Enriched Cultivation T/HNFX006-2022 outlines a cultivation method that utilizes plant growth mechanisms, selenium-rich soil, or selenium bio-nutrition techniques to produce selenium-enriched navel oranges. 4 Site Selection The site should have an annual average temperature of ≥16°C, an absolute temperature of >-4°C, an annual average rainfall of 1000–1500mm, an annual average sunshine duration of 1200–1500 hours, significant diurnal temperature differences, a long frost-free period, and favorable conditions for improving navel orange quality. The slope should be less than 25°. The site should be open and sunny, with deep cultivation layers, loose soil, and medium to high fertility, with a pH value of 5.5–6.5. The groundwater level should be <50cm, and irrigation and drainage should be convenient. 5 Variety Selection Choose varieties with high soluble solids content, strong aroma, low fruit splitting, high yield, and strong cold resistance, such as Newhall and Yuanfeng navel oranges. 6 Seedling Planting 6.1 Specifications Seedlings should have
