Basic Information
Scope
Main Technical Content: 4 Overall Requirements 4.1 The site selection should be located in a high-altitude, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from noise sources. It must not be located in areas prohibited by the Animal Husbandry Law of the People's Republic of China, and comply with relevant laws and regulations as well as the land use planning in the region. 4.2 The site environment should meet the requirements of NY/T388. 4.3 The water quality should meet the requirements of NY5027. 5 Establishing Family Lines At 35 weeks of age, the breeding work for this generation of white geese begins. First, based on the pedigree records of each individual, two male geese and six female geese are selected from each family. Among the female geese of the previous generation, at least one female offspring must be selected. All candidate individuals in each family are then evaluated on-site. It is required that the external weight of the candidate individuals meet the local white goose breed standards, and they should be in good physical condition. Those who do not meet these requirements are replaced. Finally, one male goose and four female geese are selected from each family to establish a family line. Similarly, the wing numbers of all male and female geese in each family are determined. After completing the family line establishment work, the male and female geese of the same family are adjusted to a single enclosure according to the family selection table, which facilitates mating and egg collection. 6 Natural Mating and Egg Collection Starting at 40 weeks, natural mating is carried out according to the family selection table. Seven days later, the eggs are collected. Starting at 45 weeks, the eggs are collected. Due to the low egg production and long incubation period of Huoqiu white geese, the collected eggs are incubated every 2 weeks for 3-4 times. Every night, the laying hens are captured into laying cages, and the eggs are collected the next morning.
