Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining antioxidants in raw rubber, latex, uncured rubber, or vulcanized rubber products using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The method specified in this standard is a qualitative one and cannot be used for quantitative analysis. The 31 types of antioxidants applicable to the determination are listed in Appendix A. Note: This standard does not include detailed procedures for equipment operation. Operators of this standard should be familiar with the operating steps of the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry instrument. In addition, they should operate in accordance with the user manual of the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry instrument to ensure that the instrument is in the best condition.
