T/YNYY 002-2021 Apple dwarf rootstocks for green tip cutting seedling cultivation procedure
Basic Information
Scope
Scope: This document specifies the terms and definitions, construction of seedling nurseries, greenhouse facilities, substrate formulations, preparation of nutrient pots, cutting process, cultivation conditions, disease prevention and control, and seedling transplantation and grading for apple dwarfing rootstock cuttings. This document is applicable to the production of apple dwarfing rootstock cuttings. Main technical content: The substrates for fruit tree cuttings are generally composed of peat soil, coconut fiber, peat moss, pearlite, cinder, and composted herbivorous animal manure. Based on previous research and related literature reports (Tan Jie, Zhang Xiaonan, etc., "Experimental Study on Simple Full-light Automatic Intermittent Fogging for Micro-sprout Pomegranate Seedling Cultivation", 2015, No. 4, Forestry By-Products), after years of experimental screening, the substrate for apple dwarfing rootstock cuttings was finally selected as coconut fiber: peat moss = 2:3. The nutrient soil was packaged using a simple automatic cup-filling machine, with a cup volume of 4cm in diameter and 5cm in height, arranged in a 1.2m-1.5m seedling area with 0.5m aisles in between. Two to three days before planting, the cuttings were sprayed with 800-fold potassium permanganate solution for disinfection. The seedlings were generally selected from young mother trees with strong growth and no pests or diseases. The semi-lignified tender branches at the top and side branches were cut off, with a diameter of 0.2cm-0.5cm and a length of 15cm-20cm. About 50 cuttings were bundled and placed in seedling trays for watering and shading. The cuttings were soaked in a 1,500-fold dilution of Mancozeb and Nematicide for about 10 seconds. The cutting process was carried out in a shaded and cool workroom. Every 20 cuttings were bundled and cut into 8cm-9cm lengths. A solution of 0.5mg/ml-1.0mg/ml indolebutyric acid + sodium naphthaleneacetic acid was prepared as a rooting agent and kept ready
