Scope

This standard specifies the classification, functions, performance requirements, and testing requirements of the lane-changing decision assistance system (LCDAS).
This standard applies to lane-changing decision assistance systems installed in M-class (including M1, M2, and M3 classes) and N-class (including N1, N2, and N3 classes) vehicles when driving forward, but it does not apply to similar systems installed in O-class (including O1, O2, O3, and O4 classes) and L-class (including L1, L2, L3, L4, and L5 classes) vehicles.
