Scope

This standard specifies the basis, indicators, and methods for rating the main performance levels of marine transport ships. This standard applies to the following steel motorized marine transport ships (hereinafter referred to as "ships") that have been put into use: bulk carriers, liquid cargo ships, container ships, general cargo ships (including multi-purpose ships), roll-on/roll-off ships, and vehicle transport ships. The development of new ship types of the above-mentioned ships and the updated design of existing ships can also be referred to for use.
