Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, general requirements, treatment requirements, testing and control, and maintenance and management for the treatment of direct cooling circulating water in the steel industry. This standard applies to direct cooling circulating water in the steel industry (excluding blast furnace slag and steel slag cooling circulating water). Direct cooling circulating water systems in other industries can also be implemented with reference to this standard.
