Scope

This standard specifies the method outline for the determination of boron in uranium dioxide pellets, reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, samples, analysis steps, result calculation, and method precision. This standard is applicable to the determination of boron in uranium dioxide pellets, as well as to the determination of boron in nuclear-pure uranium trioxide. When the uranium dioxide sample amount is 0.5 g, the determination range of boron content is: (0.1~1.0) μg/g. The microgram amounts of coexisting elements in each gram of sample are listed in Appendix A.
