Scope
This standard specifies a method for determining the fiber content in polyacrylonitrile fibers and certain other fiber mixtures after the removal of non-fiber substances using the formic acid/zinc chloride method.
This standard applies to two-component mixtures of polyacrylonitrile fibers with wool, other animal hair fibers, cotton, flax, ramie, and polyester fibers.
