Basic Information
Scope
Scope: This document specifies the preliminary preparation for container seedling cultivation of Chenguangmeng, seedling division, container seedling management, container seedling grading, and the operational requirements for nursery preparation. This document is applicable to the production and management of container seedling cultivation of Chenguangmeng; Main technical content: 4. Preliminary preparation for seedling cultivation 4.1 Selection of mother plants: Mother plants can be either field-grown seedlings or container seedlings. Select healthy, well-formed, well-rooted, and disease-free three-year-old single plants with 2-3 tillers as seedling mother plants. 4.2 Substrate 4.2.1 The substrate should be mixed with 70% peat moss, 15% organic fertilizer, 10% perlite, and 5% garden soil in a volume ratio. 4.2.2 Sterilization: Sprinkle water on the substrate mixture, cover it with insulation to raise the temperature, and maintain the internal temperature of the substrate at 40°C to 50°C for 24 hours. After that, spread it out and let it cool to room temperature before use. 4.3 Containers: Select 15 cm × 15 cm and 30 cm × 30 cm containers. 5. Seedling division 5.1 The seedling division period should be in April-May. 5.2 Seedling division process: Water the mother plants thoroughly 2-3 days before seedling division. Dig up the mother plants with soil clods, leaving about 40% of the soil. Prune the roots and retain 4-5 cm. Select 3-5 healthy tillers from the mother plants and plant them in 15 cm × 15 cm containers, cover the substrate and compact it. Water them thoroughly immediately after planting, and ensure that the substrate surface is 1 cm-1.5 cm above the container rim. 6. Container seedling management 6.1 Arrangement: Container seedlings for the spring market can be densely arranged in low beds. Container seedlings for the summer-autumn market can be placed in flat or high beds with a spacing of not less than 40 cm. 6.2 Repotting: Large-sized container seedlin
