Scope
This document specifies the connection dimensions and clearance between the tractor and trailer of articulated steering devices for agricultural semi-trailers, and also stipulates the maximum allowable force at the connection point of such articulated steering devices.
This document is only applicable when used with GB/T 19408.5, and specifies spherical (mechanical) connection devices with a nominal diameter of 80 mm.
This document is not applicable to the verification of the mechanical strength of articulated steering device connections, nor to mechanical connection devices; this document does not include technical requirements for the articulated steering devices themselves.
