Scope

This part of the "Electromagnetic Compatibility Overview" is a guidance technical document. It reviews the sources and impacts of harmonic current conduction and emission within the frequency range of 2 kHz on the power grid, and explains the derivation process of the current emission limits for devices in IEC 61000-3-2:2000+AMD1:2001 and IEC 61000-3-12:2004.
The concepts in this part apply to all low-voltage AC power supply systems, but the data are only applicable to European 230 V/400 V, 50 Hz power supply systems.
