Scope

This document provides a fatigue pressure evaluation method for the metal pressure-bearing housings of hydraulic components under continuous and stable, periodic internal pressure loads.
This document is only applicable to pressure-bearing housings of hydraulic components made of metal, which operate at temperatures without creep and low-temperature brittleness, and only bear stress caused by pressure. There is no reduction in strength due to corrosion or other chemical effects. The pressure-bearing housings may include gaskets, seals, and other non-metallic parts, but these parts are not considered as components of the tested pressure-bearing housings of hydraulic components in the test (see GB/T 19934.1).
This document is not applicable to pipeline components specified in ISO 4413 (i.e., pipe fittings, hoses, and rigid pipes). For the fatigue test methods of pipeline components, see GB/T 26143, ISO 6803, and ISO 6605.
This document provides a general method suitable for the fatigue pressure evaluation of metal pressure-bearing housings of hydraulic components. In addition, EN 14359 describes specific methods and test requirements for the fatigue pressure evaluation of accumulators.
