Scope

Scope: This standard specifies the terminology and definitions, variety selection, pre-grafting management, grafting techniques, and post-grafting management for lychee and longan varieties, as well as timely supplementary grafting. This document applies to the grafting of lychee and longan varieties. Main technical content: 1. Terms and definitions: The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 1.1 Lychee (Litchi) A plant of the Sapindaceae family (Sapindaceae) and the Litchi Sonn genus. Also known as "Li Zhi". It is a perennial evergreen tree. 1.2 Longan (Dimocarpus) A plant of the Sapindaceae family and the Dimocarpus Lour genus. Also known as "Gui Yuan". It is a perennial evergreen tree. 1.3 Variety replacement For lychee and longan orchards with degraded varieties, impure varieties, or varieties that have lost market competitiveness, variety improvement is necessary. 2. Variety selection Select suitable local varieties with good grafting compatibility, excellent quality, and promising market prospects. The grafting combination is shown in Appendix A. 3. Pre-grafting management 3.1 Field water and fertilizer management - 50-60 days before grafting, fertilize the orchard according to NY/T 394 standards, applying 1-2 kg of high-nitrogen compound fertilizer per tree and 50-100 kg of irrigation water per tree. - 20-30 days before grafting, irrigate the trees with water meeting GB 5084 standards, applying 50-80 kg of irrigation water per tree. Smooth bark removal from the grafting stock is optimal at this stage. 3.2 Cultivation of strong scions - Select varieties with excellent comprehensive traits and promising market prospects as scions. - Clip the tree crown 1-2 times with foliar fertilizer 15-20 days before grafting. - Collect scions free from pests and diseases with full bud eyes at the grafting time. 3.3 Disease and pest control in scion nurseries - Spray pesticides in the s
